TS Galaxy 3-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates started the new year in the DStv Diski Challenge with a 3-2 loss against TS Galaxy at the Tsakane Stadium on Saturday morning.

Goals from Siya Sibanyoni, Kabelo Mkhize and Ndu Xulu let the Rockets to victory, while Lesiba Mahlong and Boitumelo Radiopane netted the Buccaneers’ consolation efforts.

The set-back is the Buccaneers first of the season, whilst Galaxy register just their second win in their debut campaign in the reserve tier.

Bloemfontein Celtic 2-3 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns made a winning start to 2021 after edging Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.

After going winless in their first two games, Sundowns have now managed to claim back-to-back wins.

Golden Arrows 1-2 Stellenbosch FC

Stellenbosch FC leaped to the top of the standings with a comfortable 2-1 victory over Golden Arrows out at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Sunday morning.

The visitors took a two-goal lead into halftime with efforts from Titus Carelse and Roy-Keane Avontuur, as Arrows replied after halftime through Nelson Ndlovu.

This was the home side’s second defeat in a row after going down to Mamelodi Sundowns last time out, as Stellies picked up consecutive victories.

SuperSport United 2-2 Baroka FC

SuperSport United missed out on the chance to head the standings as joint leaders following a 2-2 draw against Baroka FC at the Giant Stadium in the final clash on Sunday.

Matsatsantsa, who boast the highest-scoring record in the league went into halftime leading through Jabu Matsio and Bilal Baloyi but were pegged back in the end.

Kaizer Chiefs - AmaZulu (Postpone)

Sunday's clash between Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu was postponed due to the "heightened risk of COVID-19 infections".
