Orlando Pirates have fallen out of contention for the DStv Diski Challenge title despite beating Baroka 1-0 in their penultimate match on Sunday afternoon at Makhulong Stadium.

Boitumelo Radiopane scored the only goal of the game for Pirates on the half-hour mark, which was his 22nd of the season as a leading goalscorer.

The Buccaneers won't be able to contest for the title in the final matchday, as they are four points behind leaders Stellenbosch.

Sekhukhune United 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs got back to winning ways after beating Sekhukhune United 2-1 in their penultimate match on Saturday afternoon at Makhulong Stadium.

Aden McCarthy broke the deadlock for Chiefs in the 23rd minute from a stunning free-kick and Mfundo Vilakazi doubled their lead ten minutes later with another wonderful direct set-piece goal.

Rebone Ntsoane pulled a goal back for Babina Noko 22 minutes before time but Amakhosi held on to maximum points.

Mamelodi Sundowns 1-1 Royal AM

Mamelodi Sundowns were unable to pick up maximum points for a third game in a row after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Royal AM on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sundowns dropped down to seventh on the log while Thwihli Thwahla settled for eighth spot.

Stellenbosch 4-2 Maritzburg United

Log-leaders Stellenbosch have the title destiny in their own hands after drubbing Maritzburg United 4-2 in the penultimate match on Saturday morning at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Roy-Keane Avontuur and Lance Weaver gave Stellies two early goals while Asanda Buthelezi pulled a goal back for Maritzburg in the 19th minute.

The Western Cape side went 3-1 up in the 64th minute thanks to an own goal by Phiwayinkosi Zuma and Oshwin Andries put the game to bed in the last quarter of an hour.

The Team of Choice got a second consolation goal in the last minute courtesy of an own goal by Kyle Jurgens.

Golden Arrows 1-4 SuperSport United

SuperSport United kept their title hopes alive after thrashing Golden Arrows 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Sbusiso Maziko netted twice for Matsatsantsa as they went into the half-time break with a two-goal cushion.

Maziko had a chance to complete his hat-trick early in the second stanza from the penalty spot but his spot-kick was saved back into play by goalkeeper Monwabisi Mwandla and Tendamudzimu Matodzi fired home the rebound to make it 3-0 for Thabo September's charges.

Thapelo Maseko made it 4-0 for SuperSport in the 74th minute while Samkelo Mzolo scored a consolation goal for Abafana Bes'thende two minutes later.

Swallows 1-1 Chippa United

Chippa United remained in fifth place on the log after they rescued a 1-1 draw against Swallows on Sunday morning at Makhulong Stadium.

Vusi Mkhwanazi broke the deadlock for the Birds in the first stanza but Ridwan Cerfonteyn salvaged a point for the Chilli Boys in stoppage time.
