Golden Arrows 2-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates winless run stretched to four matches in the DStv Diski Challenge after a 2-2 draw against Golden Arrows on Saturday.

The Buccaneers trailed at halftime through Andiswa Cebekhulu, but were level after the interval courtesy of top scorer Boitumelo Radiopane who then completed his brace with a spot-kick.

Abafana Besthende had to finish with ten players as Siyabonga Msomi got his marching orders for a second bookable offence before Siyabonga Ndlozi snatched them a point at the death.

Kaizer Chiefs 2-3 Chippa United

Kaizer Chiefs’ stuttering run of form in the Diski Challenge continued when they went down 3-2 to Chippa United at the FNB Stadium on Sunday.

The Amakhosi were coming off a hard-fought goalless draw against Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby, whilst Chippa succumbed to TS Galaxy.

Chiefs entered halftime behind, but responded minutes after that through Keletso Sifama and Wandile Duba but the Chilli Boys hit back in the matter of minutes and stomped to victory.

Stellenbosch FC 0-0 AmaZulu

Stellenbosch FC maintained their slender lead at the top of the table following another goalless draw this time against AmaZulu.

The Maroons were cancelled out by Royal AM a week ago, with Usuthu unable to get back on the winning track following last Sunday’s derby loss to Maritzburg United in Umlazi.

Mamelodi Sundowns 0-1 SuperSport United

SuperSport United secured the bragging rights of the city of Tshwane with the help of a late 1-0 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in Atteridgeville.

With the match headed for a goalless draw, Matsatsantsa bagged the all important winner through none other than Shandre Campbell.

Sekhukhune United 0-4 Cape Town City

Cape Town City regained winning ways after thumping a ten-man Sekhukhune United 4-0 to stabilise their mid-table standing and leave the host in troubled territory.

Luke Daniels, Ashley Nel, Jaedin Rhodes and Sisonke Lubelwana directed the Citizens to victory, as Babina Noko had Mlekeleli Xaba dismissed in the opening minutes of the match.
