Marumo Gallants FC 1-4 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs showed bottom-placed Marumo Gallants FC no mercy and recorded a 4-1 victory at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Sunday’s action.

Gallants struck the first blow in the earlier exchanges courtesy of Lunghile, but Chiefs made sure the first half finish level pegging through Sibusiso Milazi.

Thereafter, a double from Mduduzi Shabalala and Thijs Jansen’s single strike helped the Amakhosi to record a commanding victory and deepen the woes of Bahlabane Ba Ntwa.

Orlando Pirates 1-2 SuperSport United

Orlando Pirates were not able to return to top of the standings in the DStv Diski Challenge as they went down 2-1 to SuperSport United at the Rand Stadium on Saturday.

Matsatsantsa made a blistering start through Bryn Deeley before Cassius Spandiel clawed the Buccaneers following the break only for Tendamudzimu Matodzi to guide United to victory.

Chippa United 3-3 Stellenbosch FC

Stellenbosch FC remained at the top of the table ahead of Pirates despite having to come from two goals down at halftime to hold Chippa United to a 3-3 draw in Mdantsane.

Chippa were two goals up at the break through a penalty from Vuyolwethu Dinge, who then completed his brace on the cusp of halftime.

Kayden Francis had the Chilli Boys three goals up before a double form Antonio Van Wyk and an effort from Solly Khunyedi rescued Stellies from the brink of defeat.

Maritzburg United 0-1 TS Galaxy

After a solid showing last week, Maritzburg United were brought down to earth in a 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.

The match were headed for a stalemate, but a strike four minutes from time by Sibusiso Radebe steered the Rockets back on the winning path.

Golden Arrows 1-1 Baroka FC

Golden Arrows failed to get back to winning ways following a 1-1 draw against Baroka FC in a mid-table battle.

Abafana Besthende had the lead late in the second period through an own-goal, but Baroka who were hammered 5-0 by Stellenbosch FC last week levelled through Tshegofatso Bosega.

AmaZulu 2-1 Sekhukhune United

AmaZulu returned to winning ways following last week’s disappointment as they defeated Sekhukhune United 2-1 at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Katlego Cwinyane’s first half effort had Sekhukhune ahead at the break, but strikes from Lindani Shange and Tebogo Masuku after the restart aided Usuthu to victory and maximum points.
