Mamelodi Sundowns watched their winning run in the DStv Diski Challenge come to an end with a 2-0 loss against Stellenbosch FC in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.

As a consequence, the Brazilians lost top spot to Stellies who relied on Jared Van Der Burg and Fuad Johnson to land them the three points and the summit.

Orlando Pirates 6-0 Marumo Gallants FC

Orlando Pirates joined Stellenbosch FC at the top of the table through a commanding 6-0 hammering of Marumo Gallants FC at the Rand Stadium.

A brace each from Boitumelo Radiopane and Mohau Nkota was complemented by Howard Ngiba and Thabiso Monyane, seeing Gallants loose further ground with the front-runners.

Chippa United 2-0 SuperSport United

Chippa United avenged last Saturday’s loss against SuperSport United in Atteridgeville with a 2-0 win at home to maintain their spot in the top five bracket.

Both of the goals came from their star man Thulani Mini, leaving Matsatsantsa to go back to the drawing board.

TS Galaxy 3-0 Maritzburg United

TS Galaxy ended a five match run without a win in the league through a 3-0 home victory over Maritzburg United.

Koketso Modise, Banele Nkosi and Kamogelo Sebelebele all netted in the first half to put the Team of Choice firmly out of sight.

Golden Arrows 1-1 Royal AM

Royal AM were denied back-to-back victories in the KwaZulu-Natal derby against Golden Arrows after playing to a 1-1 draw.

Nkosingiphile Phewa granted the visitors the lead in the middle of the first half before a penalty from Senzo Hlophe not long thereafter put Abafana Besthende level.
