Lorch hails importance of first-leg win

Orlando Pirates forward Thembinkosi Lorch said it was important to score as many goals as possible with a second leg still to come.

After Zakhele Lepasa had given the Buccanneers the lead, Lorch set up Vincent Pule beautifully for the second before completing the rout with an expertly placed finish in to the bottom right corner after skinning Happy Mashiane in fine fashion.

"First of all, I would like to thank the almighty god for the talen that he gave me and I would like to thank my family, especially my dad and my mom for supporting me through difficulties," the 27-year-old told SuperSport TV.

"In the first 15 minutes they were coming to us. But after 20 minutes we manged to play according to the structure of the coach and we managed to get the goal.

"Ja, we have been practising our structure in training and it helped us today.

"We had to believe we could score this many goals because there's still going to be a second leg against them so it's going to help us going forward."
