SSU duo in line to win back-to-back titles

For that to happen SuperSport United will have to overcome Cape Town City at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening (19h00).

Myeni and Nhlapo were with Bidvest Wits last season as they ran riot past Mamelodi Sundowns in that rain-soaked final at Mbombela Stadium.

Myeni was introduced as a second-half substitute in place of Hellings Mhango, with Wits already 3-0 up as they went on to lift the trophy.

The 29-year-old had just returned to Wits after a four-year stint with Orlando Pirates where he was twice a losing finalist in the same competition.

Myeni has now moved to SuperSport on a loan deal taking with him his MTN8 lucky charm.

Just like with Wits last season he has only been involved from the semi-finals stage at SuperSport.

Last season Myeni played both semi-finals legs and the final for Wits, and this season he had a run away at Maritzburg United in the second leg of the last-four.

‘Ntsunda’ has made three appearances so far for Matsatsantsa.

Nhlapo, meanwhile, did not feature in last season's final for Wits but played 90 minutes in their quarterfinal victory over Pirates.
