Bloemfontein Celtic coach John Maduka has dismissed the idea of the new nickname he has been given by fans on social media – 'John Vuli Gate'.

Maduka was handed the new nickname coined from the popular dance by Mapara a Jazz that has hit every street corner of Mzansi after he orchestrated a win over Mamelodi Sundowns.

Maduka says he is yet to see what 'John Vuli Gate' is all about.

"I don't know anything about that nickname, I am only known as John Maduka," the Celtic head coach tells KickOff.com.

"I have heard people talking about it but I have not seen it."

Celtic are set to welcome Golden Arrows in their first DStv Premiership match in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Siwelele played their MTN8 game against Sundowns on Sunday without the services of captain Ndumiso Mabena and Lantshene Phalane.

"Mabena was not fit for the game against Sundowns due to injury, the same with Phalane," Maduka explains.

"Hopefully they will be back for the league game this weekend."
