Twala set for Chiefs reunion

Last weekend the player, together with teammates Judas Moseamedi and Nyiko Mobbie, missed the 3-0 hammering by Bidvest Wits with a swollen Achilles tendon.

However, Eymael says Twala will be in the 18-man squad for when they play against his former team Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in the MTN8 quarter-finals.

"About injuries, Twala got an injection, he will be ready for Chiefs game," Eymael informs

"Yes, perhaps some new signings will start the game. Moseamedi is in the 18 yes, [Mpho] Maruping is in the 18, [Maboke] Matlakala is in the 18, and [Eleazar] Rodgers is in the 18, and [Yusuf] Jappie is in the 18. We are still missing [Patrick] Phungwayo, and for the rest everybody is there. So it's just the choice of the coach."

Last season Ea Lla Koto had the upper hand over United in the first round, beating them 1-0 at Harry Gwala Stadium; although the KwaZulu-Natal side managed to avenge the loss by winning 3-0 in the second round.

But Stars had the final say last season when they beat the Team of Choice in the Nedbank Cup decider.

"Yes, sure we are playing a good team. Maritzburg is a good team who know us, also we know them. Yes, they will look to take revenge but I think we have to forget about the cup from last season. Yes, it's the trophy but we cannot always think like that because we have to focus on our league games. Our league games are important.

"We have to take revenge ourselves because you know we have been beaten 3-0, so for us we have to take a revenge to bounce back as soon as possible.

"Also them, they have to try to bounce back because they lost at home 2-0. Us, we lost away 3-0. And I think we have to start to collect points because it's important for us also. But they will think the same thing, so it will be a very tough game.

"We have to think about Chiefs after this game," concludes the Belgian.
