Zwane has bagged five goals in the Champions League this season, and finished the group stage campaign as the top scoring player with four goals. The 29-year-old has been a key figure for the Brazilians on the continent and Bafana coach Stuart Baxter
Former Sundowns and Bafana midfielder Bennett Mnguni believes Zwane can play a big role for the team when they face Libya on Sunday. Bafana need a point to book their spot in the competition.
“I think he is one of the players who don’t take anything for granted. He takes his football serious. I don’t think he will struggle to lift the team,” Mnguni tells KickOff.com.
“He creates a lot of chances, because he is always taking players on. If you have a player that’s always on the move, it creates more opportunities and spaces for others guys to use, and it’s easy to play with such players. He can play an important role for the team. We need such players in the national team who are mobile.”
