'Jingles' had nothing but praise for referee Thando Ndzandzeka despite his Sundowns team going down by 2-1 to fellow Absa Premiership title contenders Cape Town City in the Mother City last Tuesday.
The Brazilians squandered an early first-half lead when Lebohang Maboe netted the opener as Kermit Erasmus and Chris David pounced to hand the Citizens the last laugh after their 3-2 loss in Pretoria the previous week, February 27.
The Sundowns mentor maintains that despite losing to City, the game was still a good advert for PSL football, complemented by very good officiating.
"He [the referee] did very well and was on top of his game," Mosimane told reporters.
"Experienced and did the right things. And when they do like this we also congratulate them. If they don’t do well we criticise them, it’s normal. It’s football.
"That’s why I say I don’t care who says what... I tell the truth, I tell the truth. He did very well," Mosimane reiterated.
The Sundowns head coach also lauded the current form of his team saying he can’t really find fault with their performances.
"I’m not unhappy with my team, I’m very happy with my team," he said.
"Because my team plays good football. The quality is there, we play proper football. And it doesn’t mean if you play well you will win hey! This is life.”
