Tau recently joined English Premier League outfit Brighton Hove & Albion, but looks set to go to Belgium on loan for the season.
Laffor also expressed joy over Khama Billiat’s switch to PSL rivals Kaizer Chiefs, despite reports previously linking the Zimbabwean international with a move abroad.
“These guys [Tau and Billiat] are good players, but Sundowns is a big brand. I am happy for Percy’s move and I am also happy for Khama. I think in life everybody wants to progress and he [Billiat] felt that he needed a change. He was good to the team and he won trophies with the team,” Laffor tells KickOff.com.
“I am happy for Percy. He should just keep doing well and progress. I think they should both just enjoy themselves.
“At the end of the day life has to go on. Sundowns is a big brand and the club is bigger than everyone who is here.”
Laffor, meanwhile, is yet to feature for Sundowns this season, but will be hoping to play a bigger part this term after the last campaign was wrecked by injuries.
At 33, the Liberian international still has a lot to offer the former African champions.
