Highlands, who play University of Pretoria at Makhulong Stadium tomorrow afternoon (15h00), need just a point to secure automatic promotion.
It’s become fasionable for clubs to sack their coaches once they win promotion, or just a few months into the new season in the top flight.
In fact Highlands were guilty of doing this last season, when they sacked current assistant coach Allan Freese only a few weeks into the new campaign.
Freese did not have a lot of time to prepare for the new campaign after the club won promotion via the play-offs and he was still trying to find the right competitions, as the club had signed the likes of Collins Mbesuma, Thanduyise Khuboni, Eddie Ngalo, Charlton Mashumba and Junior Sibande.
Freese was replaced by former Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund, who did not do any better.
Highlands have learnt their lesson and they will not get rid of their technical team next season.
"That’s not even going to be a point of discussion for us," Brookstone tells KickOff.com.
"Our technical team is top, top class from Owen all the way to the physios and doctors,” he adds.
