Struggling CT Spurs sack head coach

GladAfrica Championship

Struggling Cape Town Spurs have sacked head coach Dylan Deane with the club languishing at the foot of the GladAfrica Championship table.

Spurs parted ways with Deane after suffering a humiliating 6-1 defeat to Pretoria Callies at the weekend with the club stuck in the relegation zone in 15th position.

"Dylan has enhanced the energy at Ikamva and brought renewed confidence to the club, but unfortunately we’ve been unable to turn the ‘feel good factor’ into wins."

"We thank Dylan for his commitment to the club, not only over the last few months but over the last few years and wish him all the best," said Cape Town Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou.

Deane leaves the club barely seven months after joining in April and saved the club from relegation on the last day of the 2020/21 season.
