Ex-Downs, Wits man lands new contract

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyanda Zwane has finally been rewarded with a contract in the GladAfrica Championship.

The 34-year-old has been training with Uthongathi FC for weeks being assessed by the technical team and will now be registered before the end of the transfer window.

"We've agreed on two things with Siyanda Zwane, we are just waiting to register him with the PSL," Uthongathi media officer Nkosinathi Chili confirms to KickOff.com.

"We are giving him a six-month contract and if we get promotion, like any other senior players, we will then talk about an extension if there are no other offers."

Zwane is an experienced campaigner who has won titles with Golden Arrows and Sundowns, and also played for Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town.
