GladAfrica Championship

Former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits winger Sifiso Myeni has finally signed a deal with a new club.

GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting have confirmed the capture of the 31-year-old, who has been without a team since parting ways with Wits last season.

According to Sporting chairman Slungu Thobela, Myeni is already training with the Mpumalanga-based side after putting pen to paper three days ago.

The Macdonald Makhubedu-coached side is currently 13th on the NFD table.

"What you've heard it's true, I can confirm," Thobela tells KickOff.com.

"That one is very difficult for me to disclose [the length of the contract] but I confirm he's signed with us. He signed I think three days back.

"We felt that maybe we need experience, but also someone like him is a person who deserves a second chance you know. We cannot just let a talent of this nature go to waste.

"I cannot confirm his fitness, that one I will have to be advised by my fitness trainer. I mean he's a soccer player, I think the information I got is that he's been training and playing on his own. We signed him because we want him to add value."

Thobela says the club has also added Malawian Chawanga Kawonga from Costa do Sol of Mozambique, Jemondre Dickens on loan from Baroka, Frank Motebejane from Golden Arrows as well as Francisco Muchanga from Mozambique to their playing personnel.
