Richards Bay land new head coach

GladAfrica Championship

Former Platinum Stars coach Allan Freese is set to lead Richards Bay when they take on Royal AM in the PSL promotion play-offs game set for Umhlathuze Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Freese has joined Richards Bay soon after parted ways with Free State Stars last week and replaced Simo Dladla who was fired last month after missing out on automatic promotion.

The Natal Rich Boyz boss Sfiso Biyela confirmed that the experienced tactician will be leading his team this week.

"There are few issues to sort out. But I can say he is now our coach," Biyela tells KickOff.com.

"We gave the players five days off, since then we have been preparing. We are ready for the game on Tuesday.

Richards Bay finished third in the Gladafrica Championship after leading the table for most of the campaign.

But they will be hoping that Freese will inspire them to join AmaZulu, Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United as representatives of KwaZulu Natal in the top-flight next season.
