Insiders at Polokwane City have expressed their excitement about the arrival of Elias Pelembe at the GladAfrica Championship club.
The 37-year-old Mozambican international had been training with the former DStv Premiership outfit for a week or so and is understood to have signed for the club.
The club's chief operations officer Tincy Tema told this website on Friday that an official announcement would be made in due course.
With his experience, Pelembe will be expected to bring a much-needed boost to the Limpopo club as they look to bounce back to the PSL.
"Yes, Pelembe is still with us training, it's been about a week now," a source inside the club tells KickOff.com.
"He is still hot man, that guy is quality. You can't say he is 37. He is top class. I think he already signed because in this team normally when you are new and still under assessment you bring your own training kit.
"But if the club gives you a kit and accommodation, it means you have signed. Another thing is he has been provided with a car, he is driving one of the club's cars. They've given him an apartment for free, so it proves he has signed."
The former PSL winner disappeared from local shores after Bidvest Wits was sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madvivhandila but is now back in the game in the first division.
