Richards Bay 2-1 University of Pretoria

Richards Bay climbed to the top of the log after beating University of Pretoria 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.

Somila Ntsundwana broke the deadlock for the Natal Rich Boyz in the 32nd minute and Luvuyo Phewa levelled matters for AmaTuks nine minutes inside the second stanza.

However, Vusimuzi Mngomezulu restored the lead for the hosts a minute later and that proved to be the winner.

JDR Stars extended their winless run to three matches after they were humbled 1-0 by Free State Stars on Saturday afternoon at Goble Park Stadium.

The first-half did not produce any goals as Themba Ndlovu finally broke the deadlock for Ezenkosi eight minutes into the second stanza and Khethukuthula Zwane secured the win 14 minutes before time.

Cape Town Spurs 2-1 TS Sporting

Cape Town Spurs moved three points clear of the relegation zone after beating TS Sporting 2-1 at Athlone Stadium.

Eyona Ndondo and Asenele Velebayi gave Spurs a two-goal lead in the first five minutes.

Abantu Bethetho pulled a goal back early in the second stanza but the Cape Town side held on to their third win of the season.

Polokwane City 1-3 Hungry Lions

Hungry Lions secured two consecutive victories after thrashing Polokwane City 3-1 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Rise and Shine broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute but Angelo Van Rooi got the equaliser for Lions early in the second stanza before late goals by Mogotlane and Vuyisile Wana sealed an emphatic win.

Venda Football Academy moved up to third on the log after a narrow 1-0 win over Pretoria Callies on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Rotondwa Mutsivhuli broke the deadlock for VFA seven minutes before the half-time break and that was enough to clinch their fourth win in five matches.

Uthongathi 0-1 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila won back-to-back matches after edging Uthongathi 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

As a result, Uthongathi dropped down to fifth on the table with 24 points while TTM moved up to 11th on the lof with 19 points.

Platinum City Rovers 0-1 Cape Town All Stars

Cape Town All Stars ended their four-game winless run after a narrow 1-0 win over Platinum City Rovers on Friday afternoon at Olen Park Stadium.

The victory took All Stars up to seventh on the table with 22 points, three points shy of the promotion play-off spot while City Rovers dropped down to ninth, a point behind All Stars.
