Richards Bay 5-2 Platinum City Rovers

Richards Bay climbed to second on the log after drubbing Platinum City Rovers 5-2 courtesy of a brace by Sibonginhlanhla Mthethwa on Saturday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.

Siphamandla Ncanana and Vusimuzi Mngomezulu gave the Natal Rich Boyz a two-goal cushion inside the first 20 minutes and City Rovers pulled a goal back just after the hour-mark.

However, a brace by Mthethwa and another goal by Somila Ntsundwana gave the hosts a commanding 5-1 lead before City Rovers scored a second consolation goal in stoppage time.

Cape Town Spurs 1-1 JDR Stars

JDR Stars remained at the top of the log by one point after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cape Town Spurs on Sunday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.

Hungry Lions ended their five-game losing streak after beating Black Leopards 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at GWK Park.

Khotso Baxolise opened the scoring for Lions in the tenth minute and Angelo Van Rooi sealed the three points with the second goal in the last minute.

Pretoria Callies 0-1 Polokwane City

Polokwane City clinched back-to-back victories after a narrow 1-0 win over Pretoria Callies on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Themba Chauke netted the decisive goal for Rise and Shine in the sixth minute and that was enough to hand Callies their third consecutive defeat.

TS Sporting 0-1 Jomo Cosmos

Free State Stars suffered back-to-back defeats after a narrow 1-0 loss to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Saturday afternoon at Goble Park Stadium.

As a result, Vhadau Vha Damani moved up to 11th on the log with 16 points while Ea Lla Koto remained in ninth place with 19 points.

Uthongathi 0-0 Cape Town All Stars

Uthongathi extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after playing to a goalless draw against Cape Town All Stars on Saturday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Uthongathi had to settle for fourth spot on the log with 24 points, just two points behind leaders JDR Stars while Igugu Lekapa moved up to eighth on the log with 19 points.
