University of Pretoria went up to third on the log after hammering Platinum City Rovers 4-1 courtesy of a brace by Luvuyo Phewa on Saturday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

Goals by Phewa, Kau Mohlamonyane and Mbonde handed AmaTuks a commanding 3-0 lead at half-time before Phewa completed his brace by making 4-0 in the last 19 minutes, while City Rovers scored a consolation goal three minutes later.

Richards Bay 4-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila

Richards Bay bagged their second win after hammering Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at uMhlathuze Sports Complex.

Siphelele Magubane and Somila Ntsundwana got two goals in the first stanza for Bay while Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Vusimuzi Mngomezulu netted two late goals to put the game to bed.

Jomo Cosmos 1-2 Pretoria Callies

Jomo Cosmos remained the only side yet to win after a 2-1 loss to Pretoria Callies on Sunday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.

Edmore Chirambadare broke the deadlock for Callies on the stroke of half-time and Fernandez levelled matters for Ezenkosi 14 minutes before time. However, Cele snatched the winner for the Tshwane side in the last minute.

Polokwane City 0-1 Cape Town All Stars

Polokwane City missed the chance to go top of the log after a 1-0 loss to Cape Town All Stars on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

As a result, Rise and Shine dropped down to fifth on the log with 11 points, two points behind leaders Hungry Lions while All Stars moved up to seventh with the same number of points.

JDR Stars 2-0 TS Sporting

JDR Stars moved up to within one point of top spot after beating TS Sporting 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Malebogo Modise opened the scoring for JDR in the first quarter of an hour and Ishmael Wadi sealed the deal in the last quarter of an hour.

Venda Football Academy 1-0 Uthongathi

Venda Football Academy jumped into the top half of the table after a narrow 1-0 win over Uthongathi on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Venda broke the deadlock through a penalty just before the hour-mark and that proved to be the winner.
