Ex-Bucs defender makes NFD switch

GladAfrica Championship

Glad Africa Championship outfit TS Sporting have snapped up a former Orlando Pirates defender as they look to push for survival in the second half of the season.

Sporting have signed left-back Frank Motebejane on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Golden Arrows, where he fell out of favour under coach Steve Komphela.

The 24-year-old, who previously turned out for Pirates' Multichoice Diski Challenge side, failed to make a single appearance this season, and last enjoyed two games under Komphela in 2018/19.

Motebejane also spent a season at fellow first division side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, after leaving The Buccaneers at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

The Mpumalanga-based outfit are currently in 13th position on the GAC log standings, having collected just 15 poinst from their opening 15 matches.

Coach McDonald Makhubedu has also recently added striker Jemondre Dickens to his squad on a loan deal from Baroka, as they sit just five points away from bottom side Royal Eagles.
