Ambitious Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League side Passion FC have appointed former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thapelo Liau as their new head coach.

Liau has been handed the coaching reigns at Passion after a string of poor results since the beginning of the season.

'Abuti' as Liau is affectionately known has joined other former Buccaneers players now coaching in the ABC Motsepe League which includes Lizo Mjembu and Lebohang Mothibantwa.

Passion FC chairman Brandon Tshabangu has confirmed the appointment of Liau as their new coach this season.

"We have brought in Liau as our new coach with a hope of improving our results as the club has not been doing well since the start of the season," Tshabangu tells Kickoff.com.

"We have been laying the foundation for the past few seasons and now it's time to start getting the results from our investment.

"Our fans deserve something better this season," he added.

Former Passion FC coach, Kgologo Thobejane has since rejoined Baroka FC as their new head coach.
