Bizani Pondo Chiefs are on the verge of signing former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Abia Nale.

After first revealing the news, this website can now confirm that Nale is set to sign on the dotted line.

Pondo Chiefs, who are under the tutelage of former Santos goalkeeper Tshepo Motsoeneng, are also expected to parade two other new players.

One of those new signings is former Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows defender Kyle Davies, with the other being striker Nkosingiphile Phewa.

The Eastern Cape side have already signed former Golden Arrows defender Musa Bilankulu to bolster the team for this season.

Pondo Chiefs boss Nkosinathi Mqokiyane confirms the chances of signing Nale are high.

"Nale is training with us and is looking good," Mqokiyane tells KickOff.com. "We might conclude a deal with him soon."
