Chamangwana took over the reigns two months ago in caretaker capacity after the departure of former Orlando Pirates’ Serbian coach Multin Micho Sredejovic.
Chamangwana told Kick Off in a telephone interview that he does not intend to stay on permanently as coach as he is more comfortable in his other capacity as Yanga’s technical director.
“I’m enjoying it working with the youth, otherwise I’m with the seniors in caretaker capacity waiting for the arrival of the new coach from Poland later this year or early next year,” he says.
“I took over when the team was in the drop zone; third from the bottom and I’m glad that we are now in the running for the championship in the third place.”
The former Amakhosi defender was redeployed to technical director role a few months ago after the arrival of Micho.
Tanzania press had linked the vacant position with one-time Black Leopards target Eddie May, but it now seems that Yanga management has identified an undisclosed Polish coach.
