Pitso Mosimane has shared a congratulatory message to Orlando Pirates after the Buccaneers reached the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Orlando Pirates qualified for the final of the 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup after recording a 2-1 aggregate win over Libya's Al Ahly Tripoli, despite losing 1-0 at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday evening.
The result saw the Soweto giants reach the final of the competition for just the second time in the club's history, having previously ended as runners-up to Étoile du Sahel in 2015.
Plaudits were quick to follow in celebration of the club's achievements with former Mamelodi Sundowns coach and current Al Ahly boss Pitso Mosimane among those leading the singing of praises.
"I want to congratulate my fellow South African team for making Caf Confederation Cup Final," Mosimane shared in a Twitter post. "When I conducted the Caf draw, I tipped them to make the final. Thanks for making it true."
Mosimane himself has much to celebrate this season after he guided Ahly to a third consecutive Champions League final following a resounding 6-2 aggregate win over ES Sétif on Saturday.
The reigning African champions will face Morocco's Wydad Casablanca in the final in Morocco, which is scheduled to take place on 30 May.
Pirates, meanwhile, with face fellow Moroccan side RS Berkane, who overcame TP Mazembe in the weekend's other semi-final, on Friday, 20 May, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Nigeria.
