Wydad Athletic Club head coach Faouzi Benzarti has refused to lay blame on his players after their shock defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in Casablanca on Saturday.
Samir Nurkovic scored the only goal of the game with their only shot on target to give Chiefs a valuable 1-0 and away goal advantage of their CAF Champions League semi-final.
While Wydad are ranked as favoruites against Amakhosi, who are in their first foray in their history within the knockout stages, they failed to break down goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma and his resolute defence.
But the two-time Champions League-winning coach believes they can still salvage something in the second-leg as they look to overcome the Soweto giants.

"We lost with one goal, we still have another match to play in South Africa, the VAR wasn't used in favour of Wydad like during the previous matches," Benzarti said in the post-match press conference.
"We'll try to overturn this result in South Africa, I can't fault the players, they gave one hundred percent. They were present mentally and physically but this is football.
"We accept the result and we look forward to doing better in the next match."
The 2017 African champions will now travel to South Africa for the second leg tie at FNB Stadium next Saturday, 26 June.
