Kaizer Chiefs have announced their 18-man squad for their final CAF Champions League group stage encounter against Horoya this weekend.
Chiefs jet out to Conakry on Thursday ahead of Saturday night's crunch Group C clash at General Lansana Conte Stadium.
Amakhosi come off a 1-0 win over group leaders Wydad AC in their last encounter at home last Saturday, and will be hoping to manage the required result to advance to the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time in the club's history.
Gavin Hunt will be missing goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi and striker Samir Nurkovic for the encounter after both players were sent off against Wydad last weekend.
Itumeleng Khune is expected to step into goal, with Bruce Bvuma travelling as his deputy, while Khama Billiat's return from a broken leg is sure to fill the void of Nurkovic.
Leonardo Castro will unfortunately not travel after suffering a broken nose in the 2-2 DStv Premiership draw against Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday evening.
The 18-man squad features nine defenders, giving an indication of Hunt's approach going to Horoya, who will certainly try to bulldoze their way past the Soweto giants in search of a first quarterfinal appearance since the 2018/19 campaign.
