Sundowns were the first side to secure qualification for the quarter-finals of Africa's elite club competition when they won four out of four group B outings.

Last week's 0-0 draw with Al Hilal secured top spot ahead of their clash with the seven-time Algerian league champions who need to avoid defeat and hope the Sudanese giants fail to earn a result against already eliminated TP Mazembe.

With six wins and one draw, Masandawana, who lost Pitso Mosimane to Al Ahly in the off-season have been dominant in the competition with their 5-1 drubbing over their opposition in Algeria a particular highlight.

However, Les Blancs et Rouges had a man sent off in the opening three minutes before Themba Zwane's penalty opened the flood gates and could prove a tougher proposition this time around.

Led by the mecurial playmaker Amir Sayoud who has six goals and two assists in eight games in the competition this season, the former Al Ahly man could prove pivotal.

Masandawana will kick off against Belouizdad - who are buoyed after their win over Mazembe - tomorrow afternoon at Loftus Stadium at 15h00.
