Pitso Mosimane says his CAF Super Cup triumph is the perfect response to the vile abuse he received from a section of Mamelodi Sundowns supporters last week.
Mosimane left South Africa visibly emotional following the distasteful scenes outside the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium where fans verbally abused him and hurled insults at his mother before Ahly secured a 3-1 aggregate quarter-final win.

And six days later he's now secured the second Super Cup triumph of his career after second-half goals from Mohamed Sherif and Salah Mohsen was enough to down Confederation Cup champions RS Berkane 2-0 in Qatar.
"I didn't even know how many trophies [I've won], I'm not counting, to be honest, for me, it's about winning the next trophy," Mosimane said when asked what the 16th trophy of his glittering career means to him.
"Actually it's about winning the next match because my hunger for winning a match is bigger than winning the trophy.
"I believe if you focus on the process of winning games, the outcome will sort itself out but I do feel good to part of contributing to Africa and I feel good to be appreciated, unlike what happened to me in my own country."
Mosimane went on to address the incident that occurred in South Africa by saying the title is the perfect response to what he seemingly deems as people who don't want him to succeed.
"The last week has been too emotional for me to be honest but I don't blame anybody. I have to blame the system that we come from before," he said bluntly.
"Some people say if want to set up a black man to fail, you must use a black man to destroy him. For me, it's not about talking, it's about... this is how you reply in football - you reply by lifting trophies, not talking about what happened last week.
"It's not good for football, let the work speak for yourself and that's all. I'm too matured and I move on and say congratulations to my players of Al Ahly and congratulate everyone in the team and everyone associated with me."
