Leopards put two past Arrows

Robyn Johannes made his debut for Arrows and Davi Banda, the Malawian international, made his debut for Leopards.

Ntlantla Zothwane almost opened the scoring for Arrows with a long range strike inside 10 minutes, but Posnett Omony reacted quickly to palm it away for a corner.

There were no clear-cut chances in the first half, however, and the match went into half-time 0-0.

It was Khetowakhe Masuku who hit home for Leopards on 74 minutes, after Raymond Monama put in some great work to beat the Arrows defennce and lay it on.

But Masuku's left footed shot was helped into the net by Johannes and he was harshly given the own-goal.

Monama's corner led to the second goal, after Arrows’ defence failed to clear, allowing Harry Nyirenda to blast it home.

Moses Kwena was red carded for a second bookable offence on 90 minutes, but Leopards' lead was safe by that stage, and they took the three points.
