Nodada slotted the winning penalty in the 4-1 shootout win over SuperSport United in the MTN8 decider at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban last Saturday.
Two days later he was called up by Bafana coach Stuart Baxter for back-to-back 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers with Seychelles this month.
"I am overwhelmed, I am so excited," Nodada said.
"To win the cup in front of people from home, it feels so special. And a few days later now I receive a national team call, it’s a long-time life dream.
"I just can't wait to join the team and feel the experience of playing for the national team."
Nodada and his clubmates will enter the festive season in high spirits after City boss John Comitis announced that the players will share R4 million for winning the MTN8.
"I can’t comment much about the issue of bonuses but I guess I have to do something for my family and friends, who travelled during the day and night to come watch the game and support," Nodada added.
