Bafana dropped from 72nd in May to 74th in June, following their COSAFA Cup quarterfinal defeat to Madagascar, who have since leapt eight places to 106th on the rankings.
Their COSAFA plate semifinal opponents Namibia, who they defeated 4-1 on Thursday, have also plummeted from 107th last month to 116th this month.
With the global showpiece in Russia set to kick off in just seven days, Germany continues to lead the standings, followed by Brazil, Belgium, Portugal, Argentina, Switzerland and France, all of whom are unmoved.
Meanwhile, amongst Africa's World Cup representatives, Tunisia have fallen seven places from 14th to 21st on the overall standings, while Senegal have risen one spot to 27th.
Morocco and Egypt have also moved up one place to 41st and 45th respectively, with Nigeria having dropped from 47th to 48th.
Bafana remain in 15th position on the CAF standings.
