Nthethe: Madisha can play in Europe

Since he started playing regularly in the Sundowns back four last season, Madisha has grown so much as a player and has shown great signs of maturity in some tight situations.

He remains calm and hardly ever goes in for reckless challenges, which is not often the case for players his age.

According to Nthethe, Madisha has the right attitude and is always willing to learn, which is why he has what it takes to succeed in Europe.

Madisha, who has previously captained the national under-20 team as well as Sundowns’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge side, was called up but didn't feature in Bafana Bafana's 3-1 win over Burkina Faso in a World Cup qualifier at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

“He has been doing well for the team and I see him making it in Europe. He is good player and he is always willing to learn,” Nthethe tells KickOff.com.

Nthethe, who has been watching most of Sundowns’ games recently from the bench, is mostly impressed with how the 22-year-old Madisha has not allowed the attention he is getting from the media and supporters to get to his head.

"It’s easy for young players to get big headed when they become famous, but Madisha remains down to earth.

“We [the experienced players] talk to him because we have been there for some time. The confidence he has is very good for him. We talk to him and show him which way to go. He is down to earth and I hope he keeps it that way because it’s important that he stays focused.”
