Khuzwayo bids Chiefs emotional farewell

The end of the 2017/18 Absa Premiership campaign on Saturday also brought the curtain down on the shotstopper's career in Naturena, where he first arrived in 2012.

Khuzwayo was able to say his farewells after Chiefs saw off the Urban Warriors 2-1 at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, securing their place in next season's CAF Confederation Cup while also condemning Ajax to the relegation playoffs.

"Thank you to the Kaizer Chiefs family, it's been a great six years," he said in a personal video tribute after the game.

"Thank you to the chairman [Kaizer Motaung] for giving me an opportunity, thank you to Bob Steak [football manager Bobby Motaung] for giving me an opportunity."

When addressing the Amakhosi fans, Khuzwayo said: "Ngibonga amafans [I thank the supporters] for the love they have shown to me. Ngiyabonga ngenhliziyo emhlophe [I thank you with a pure heart].
