Banyana start the year with friendly matches against the Netherlands and Sweden in Cape Town, strong opposition that will give them an idea of what to expect at the World Cup in France, which will be played from June 7 to July 7.
Banyana, who qualified for the World Cup by reaching the final of the Africa Women's Cup of Nations in Ghana last year, will take on the Netherlands on January 22 at Cape Town Stadium in the Winnie-Mandela Inauguration Challenge, and then face Sweden three days later at the same venue. The matches will kick off at 15h00 and 19h00 respectively.
Banyana will be in Group B at the World Cup, with Germany, Spain and China PR.
