The 27-year-old striker was invited for a trial period at AmaZulu after parting ways with Real Kashmir in India at the end of last season.

AmaZulu's spokesperson, Brilliant Makhathini confirmed Lukman had failed to secure a permanent contract with the Durban-based side.

"The Nigerian striker is no longer with us, we decided against signing him," Makhathini tells Kickoff.com.

Despite the setback, Lukman is reportedly keen to take a shot at securing a possible move to another DStv Premiership side.

Usuthu are set to welcome Kaizer Chiefs to the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in a league encounter on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
