Chenene: I need to be more clever

Telkom Knockout

Chenene is hoping to make an impact after admittedly struggling in United's 2-1 loss to the Dube Birds in a Premiership tie on September 18.

"It's always tough playing against you former team. It's a second game against them this season, and the first game was tough," he says.

"First game they know me, they know how to defend against me. Maybe it is time for a new strategy from me.

"I must change the way I'm playing because they know that I like to run.

"If I can continue playing the same game, it will be easy for them. But if I can change a little bit, it will be tough for them.

"If I can put more effort and more cleverness, I think it's going to be tough for the right-back."

Having missed out on the chance to defend the MTN8 trophy, Chenene says Swallows are desperate to win this competition.

"We need to go all the way," he says.

"I think the team now is better than before, and we can win something.

"Everyone at the club expects us to do better and win something."
