And United's Zuma - who is line to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a knee injury - is eager to put one over his former Bafana Bafana teammate.
"Bhele (Nomvethe) and I still get along very well and he knows that he will never beat me this weekend," Zuma is quoted as saying in jest on Matsatsanta's official Twitter feed.
"He can never brag about scoring better goals than me because most of the goals he scored, he got the assists from me.
"Bhele might have won the last encounter against me, but that won't happen on Saturday. You can go and ask him, he knows.
"I told him yesterday straight that I will be back and he must watch out. If I score I will even dedicate the goal to him.
"Don't get me wrong we are boys and everything, but when we enter the field of play all those special moments we shared go out the window," concluded the 38-year-old.
The Dube Birds won the last duel between the sides 2-1 in the Premiership on September 18, with Nomvethe finding the net on that occasion.
