The Buccaneers are hurting following the fatal shooting of their goalkeeper Meyiwa, who was buried at Heroes Acre in Chesterville, Durban this past weekend.
After a two-week break in fixtures across the country, Pirates square off against SuperSport in a Telkom Knockout semi-final at Orlando Stadium this weekend, in what will be The Bucs’ first competitive game since Meyiwa's passing.
However, September warns Matsatsantsa will not go easy against Vladimir Vermezovic's men.
“It’s football on Saturday – we’re playing football against Orlando Pirates Football Club, and that is what is important,” says September.
“The PSL would not have put this game out there for us to play if we were going to feel bad for winning.
“It’s football, we have to play to win,” says the 32-year-old.
