Mahoota eager for TKO honours

Telkom Knockout

The clubs were on Monday drawn to face each other in the competition, with the match provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 25 October.

“We have to plan as a team and look for a win because if we win then that would mean we’re two steps closer to the title,” said Mashego.

“It’s a cup game, it doesn’t matter how long it takes but the most important thing is to progress to the next round.

“We’ve been winning at home and wherever we play, we should be comfortable and get results.”

The former Moroka Swallows and Orlando Pirates forward says they see the TKO as an opportunity to win silverware after missing out on the MTN8 Cup.

“It wasn’t our plan not to do well in cup competitions but this is the one we’d like to claim and we want to go all the way and lift it,” added Mashego.

“We’re not under any pressure to win because a cup game allows you the freedom to do well on the day and go through.

“It’s our ambition to win this, everyone in the club wants this trophy.”
