Majoro & Shabba: injury update

Telkom Knockout

Majoro did not make the trip to play Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout last 16 clash last Saturday due to an injury to his foot.

Chiefs won the match 3-0, with goals from Tefu Mashamaite (brace) and Knowledge Musona. Majoro is yet to score this season, in eight appearances, and will hope to rectify that as soon as possible on his return to action.

The striker may be available for this weekend’s Macufe Cup against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Meanwhile, Chiefs have confirmed that ‘Shabba’ is nursing an abductor muscle injury.

Both players are undergoing treatment, and Amakhosi physiotherapist Dave Milner says: “‘Major’ had a sore on his foot which became infected. It caused him pain and he was battling to run. He will be back in action [on Wednesday].”

Chiefs will face Free State Stars in the TKO quarter-final on the weekend of October 19-20.
