The Buccaneers family has been in mourning following the fatal shooting of their captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, who was buried a week ago at Heroes Acre in Chesterville, Durban.
And naturally Gcaba is eager to bring some joy back to Mayfair.
“We will not only play for our friend [Meyiwa] who passed away, but we will also play to make sure our fans have something to celebrate after the sad few days we had,” he said on his club's official website.
The former Free State Stars defender is hopeful Pirates can reach a sixth straight final, and then better their conversion rate.
“We have to better our history and reaching the finals of this competition will be good for us. It has been very difficult for us, we failed to win the previous six finals, but now we have a chance to get to another final.
“Unfortunately this is a knockout match and only one team goes to the next round. We are prepared for this match and I hope we will be victorious at the end of the match on Saturday.”
