FS Stars look to break cup hoodoo

Telkom Knockout

Ea Lla Koto lost in the semi-finals to their Free State rivals Bloemfontein Celtic last season.

This season their first TKO match is against AmaZulu on October 5 at Goble Park.

“It’s certainly not going to be an easy match, everyone is aware that AmaZulu have upped their game and they had a good start to the season,” ‘The Horse’ tells the club’s official website.

“I think it’s a big plus for us that we have a home ground advantage and we will certainly use it to our advantage.”

The 30-year-old club captain says Stars must take advantage of the fact that the Telkom Knockout has just four rounds of action between start and final.

“We need to break this semi-final Hoodoo and go one more step to the final and it is possible. We will take it one match at a time and one hopes that each and every match going into the final we will have the luxury of the home turf advantage.”
