Billiat targets Downs double

Telkom Knockout

Downs face holders Bloemfontein Celtic in the last-16 of the cup event on Sunday, with Billiat - who joined the Brazilians from Ajax Cape Town in August - eager to help his club end their five-year wait for silverware.

"It is a challenge for us and for me personally as I have never won anything," Billiat says.

"I am in the right team. All of us want to achieve the same thing and I hope we do achieve as a team because I feel we have the quality to go for and win the [cup] trophy and the League this season.

"I don’t have too many personal goals, I just want to do my best and win trophies."

The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the joint-league leaders in a 2-1 victory over Bidvest Wits last time out - raising his confidence.

"The goal relieved some pressure. I am feeling at home and I am feeling at the top of my game.

"I am hoping to now take it to the next level," concludes the Zimbabwean.
