Zungu: he has a pedigree of winning trophies

AmaZulu FC boss Sandile Zungu has expressed his excitement about the arrival of midfielder George Maluleka at his club.

Maluleka signed a two-year plus two-year option with Usuthu after being unveiled by the club in Durban over the weekend. The player has moved to Durban as a free agent after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns recently.

Usuthu have already bolstered their squad with the the likes of Dumisani Zuma, Gabadihno Mhango, Veluyeko Zulu and Thendo Makumela ahead of the start of the new season and Zungu has hailed the arrival of 'Mido' as a great addition to their midfield.

"We are excited about him because not only does he have a pedigree of winning trophies, we felt the need for balance in the team.

“Something ought to be done there in that midfield position and he is a perfect fit for us", Zungu told the media.

"He is very excited about joining AmaZulu and we are equally excited at having come to Usuthu. It's now signed, sealed and delivered. He is a fully-fledged football club player. He is happy and we are happy,” he added.
