And, while he could be set to star in the second division in the coming months, the former Mamelodi Sundowns star is also one of a select number of South African players who have played in the country's top-flight over the years.
Zungu made a total of 52 appearances in Ligue 1 prior to the club's relegation in 2017, before joining Scottish giants Rangers on loan last season after the French club failed to bounce back to the top-flight.

His former Sundowns teammate, Keagan Dolly, is one of the other South African players who have played in France, with the Bafana Bafana star having made 56 appearances for Montpellier before joining Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the season.
The duo followed in the footsteps of a number of other household names, including Katlego Mphela, who enjoyed a brief stint with Strasbourg, and the late Anele Ngcongca, who spent a solitary season with Troyes.
Current Masandawana striker Kermit Erasmus previously turned out for Stade Rennais, Thabang Molefe, Lebo Phiri, Lyle Foster and Pierre Issa all once called France home during their respective playing careers.
