Lebogang Phiri has completed his return to France after officially joining Paris FC on a season-long loan.
French Ligue 2 side Paris FC have confirmed the acquisition of South Africa midfielder Lebo Phiri after signing the 27-year-old on a season-long loan from Turkish outfit Çaykur Rizespor.
In terms of the agreement, Paris retains an option to sign the eight-cap Bafana Bafana international on a permanent deal upon the conclusion of his loan spell.
"New arrival in the Capital! Paris FC and Rizespor have reached an agreement for the loan until the end of the season with the option to buy Lebogang Phiri," the club announced on Wednesday.
The move comes after Rizespor suffered relegation from the Turkish Süper Lig and sees Phiri return to France, where he previously turned out for Guingamp across Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Phiri made 17 appearances across all competitions for his parent club last season during a campaign which was largely interrupted by injury.
He joins countryman Lebo Mothiba (Strasbourg, Ligue 1) as one of two South African representatives in Frances' top two divisions, with Bongani Zungu having parted ways with Amiens.
