South African forward Luther Singh looks poised for a shock move to Superliga giants FC Copenhagen.

Singh, 23, looks set to end his spell with the Portuguese side after being deemed surplus to requirements five years after joining from Swedish outfit GAIS.

Portuguese news outlet OJOGO reported the two clubs have reached an agreement over a 1.5-million (R25m) transfer that will be completed subject to a routine medical.

The move comes as a surprise with Lech Poznan, Boavista and Omonia Nicosia the club's credited with an interest in the Stars of Africa Academy graduate over the last few weeks.

The South African who featured at the recent Olympics is said to already be in Denmark where he is expected to sign an official contract this weekend that sees Braga secure 20% of any future sale that exceeds the agreed 1.5-million fee.

Singh has scored 36 goals and registered 20 assists in 162 games since making his professional debut in the Swedish second-tier back in 2015.
