Notoane names strong U-23 squad

The under-23s are set to play Angola in a two-legged qualifier for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Egypt in November.

South Africa will take on Angola in Luanda on March 22, before returning home for the second leg at Bidvest Stadium on March 26.

Notoane named a provisional squad last week and was expected to cut it down to 23 players this morning during a press conference at SAFA House in Nasrec, Johannesburg, but that was not the case.

The Mamelodi Sundowns MultiChoice Diski Challenge coach has included Phakamani Mahlambi in the squad as well as overseas-based players Kabelo Seriba, Nikola Tavares, Thabo Cele, Luther Singh, Lyle Foster and Liam Jordan.
